Arguably their finest album, this follow-up to Opiate showcases Tool at their best, assisted by clean, crisp production, without the muddiness of Aenima. Edgy guitar riffs are complemented by spitting, heavy bass, especially on “Sober” and “Crawl Away”. Lyrically, Tool are at their vitriolic best, targeting religious hypocrisy (“Intolerance,” “Sober”; always a popular theme), the loss of innocence…

Career guide: Radiology and medical imaging

Amongst the various technologies and advances that have influenced modern medicine, the most profound of these are those related to medical imaging. It has significantly reduced guess work and made things simpler for the medical fraternity. X-Ray is probably the oldest and the most universal of imaging technologies. Because of the expertise required to operate and maintain X-ray and other imaging machines, X-ray technicians, certified and trained at x ray tech schools are required at almost all medical facilities.

A career in medical imaging and radiology holds promise. If you wish to build a career in this field you will need a degree or diploma from an X ray technician school. There are large numbers of accredited programs offered by a number of radiology technician schools. Other than X-ray, the scope of medical imaging also includes CT- scan, MRI and ultrasound. As these instruments are so expensive and complicated, skilled technicians are required for the job.

A radiology tech’s job description mainly includes operating the machine, ensuring patient safety and diagnosing medical conditions. Salary of a radiology technician varies from state to state depending on the factors of demand and supply. Furthermore, your educational qualification will also determine your market value. For example, a bachelor’s degree in radiologic technologies will fetch you a better paying job than a basic certification or associate’s degree. There are a number of vocational x-ray technician schools, online and on-campus, that offer associate’s degree.

For basic assistant level jobs there is the one year certificate course, courses offered are also available online. If you join an online course, you have to train at a local school and then take the certification test. For most, the associate degree, a 2 year program, is the most preferred one. Most x-ray technician schools offer both these courses. There are also more advanced 4 years bachelor programs that give a range of career options and qualify you for more responsible jobs as administrators etc.

Once you complete the training program you will have to get a license or a certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). A license or certification is a necessity these days and almost all healthcare institutes will ask for one before they consider employing you. There are also more advanced courses on ultrasound imaging and MRI. Most imaging and radiology schools also have certification courses for ultrasound operators or you can join an ultrasound technician school, or join an off campus program for the same.

BACKGOUND MATERIAL FOR TEACHERS, Book One, surveys the first seventeen Old Testament books for Bible teachers of youth and adults. Teachers must build a firm foundation for studying/teaching the Old Testament by answering ten questions:What is the Old Testament? Who wrote the Old Testament? Where, When, Why and How was the Old Testament written? What are three major features of the Old Testament: Revelation, Inspiration and Preservation? How should we study the Word of God? Why should you memorize the Word of God? When should one read the Word of God?Teachers must also build a personal knowledge through surveying the Old Testament utilizing four areas of study: INTRODUCTORY MATERIAL for the first two sections of the Old Testament; BACKGROUND INFORMATION about the author and book; "TEACHER'S STUDY GUIDE" for each of the 17 books; PRESENTATION MATERIAL for teachers [a teaching survey presented by a Scripture verse or passage].Following high school, a Bachelor of Science degree was received from Piedmont College, Demorest, GA plus a Georgia Teacher's Professional Certificate. Then came the Army Security Agency and three years later came employment with the National Security Agency, Washington, DC. Meeting Edith Campen from North Carolina led to marriage, February 1, 1957.A year after marriage, God called me to the ministry. Graduating from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, TX with a Bachelor of Divinity (updated to Masters of Divinity) and Masters in Religious Education (updated to Masters of Arts), God directed me to serve Him.For some 50 years, it was a pleasure to serve God and people in churches and classrooms as Minister of Youth, Minister of Education, Minister of Education/Administration, and Minister of Pastoral Care.
