Government Of the People and For the People

Limited Government

The Law of the Land

The federal government has grown far beyond its current constitutional authorization. Citizens, cities, counties and state governments have had their rights overrun.

Grant calls for decentralization; returning the power to the people. We must hold all officials accountable to the law.

What do you want from Government?

Picture of the United States House of Representatives - Congress

  • Earn More Money
  • Lower Taxes
  • Great Quality and Affordably Priced:
    • Education
    • Health Care
    • Housing and Land
  • Law Abiding Neighbors
  • Healthy Environment
  • Freedom to Live Your Life

Have you gotten what you want yet?

  • Or are things actually worse than in the past?

Why hasn't it worked?

  • Maybe it's because only you can create the life you want for your family.
  • I believe that good government provides a framework for your family's and your other group efforts.
  • Maybe government is holding you back?

Time to try a different approach?

  • Voting for a Democrat, is a vote for the failures of the past.

How to get what you want for your family!

Earn More Money

  • Money comes from providing value to others.
  • Everybody knows: 'There is no such thing as a free ride.'
  • A society loses wealth when government interferes with this universal principle.

Lower Taxes

  • Productive people and organizations tend to move away from high tax areas.
  • High taxes come from government doing too much of the wrong thing.

Education: Great Quality and Affordable

  • Political agendas and education don't mix.
  • Isn't it really about reading, writing and math?
  • Isn't it better when the parents decide, not the Federal Government?

Health Care: Great Quality and Affordable

  • Restricting who can offer care through regulation, raises prices.
  • Should you or the Federal Government decide what healing methods to use?

Housing and Land: Great Quality and Affordable

  • Regulation raises prices, whether by restricting the supply of land, material,  labor.
  • Should you or the Federal Government decide what, where, and how to build?

Law-Abiding Neighbors

  • The most fundamental human right is the right to self defense, and defense of property.
  • When people have strength they are less likely to be victimized by criminals.
  • Quality law enforcement and legal systems provide stability.
  • Government theft is a bad example to future criminals.
  • Good or neutral relations with other countries reduces potential terrorism and war.

Healthy Environment

  • Why does the government give some businesses the right to pollute our property and body?
  • Why do corporations always end up paying fines, but no one ever goes to prison?
  • Individuals need to be held accountable for their actions, also leaders of corporations.

Freedom to Live Your Life

  • Government should be the humble servant of the people.
  • Government officials are no better judge of how to live your life than you and your family are.
  • Government officials are no more virtuous than you or me, so why give them almost unlimited power?

Freedom works Best!

Grant recognizes the constitutional limits placed on the US Federal government, and is working to restore the important role of the citizen and the individual states of the union.  His candidacy seeks to address only legitimate Federal policy issues.  Most day to day things that affect the citizen should be chosen by the citizen and the family, or at the state level or below.

Paid for by the Grant Rostig for Congress Committee.
